Abstract
This double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial investigated the effects of a new chicken meat ingredient (CMI-168) on cognitive function in healthy adults.
Key Findings:
-After 6 weeks, the CMI-168 group showed significantly better performance on attention & working memory, verbal memory & learning, compared to placebo (p<0.01). The CMI-168 supplemented group were shown to have better information retention.
-The improved cognitive performance was maintained even 2 weeks after termination of supplementation.
The study concluded that CMI-168 has cognition-enhancing properties, likely by promoting attention and prefrontal cortex functions.
